Your details · In plain English

This page explains what happens to the details you share with Sites by Joe. That means the enquiry form, WhatsApp chats and visits to this website. I've kept it short and in plain English.
The short version
- I use your details to reply to you and send you a quote. That's it.
- I don't sell your details, and I don't add you to a mailing list.
- A few providers help run this site, like the form service and Google Analytics. They are listed below.
- I keep your details only as long as I need them, then I delete them.
- Want to see, fix or delete what I have? WhatsApp me on +65 8800 6545.
Who I am
Sites by Joe is a small web studio in Singapore. I'm Joe Tay, and I build websites for property agents. I run it on my own, so I'm the person who reads your enquiry and looks after your details.
Questions about your data come straight to me. WhatsApp or call +65 8800 6545.
What I collect
I only collect what you choose to send me, plus some basic visit data that every website gets.
| When | What | Do you have to give it? |
|---|---|---|
| You fill in the enquiry form | Your name, mobile number, which package you're interested in, and anything you type in the message box. You can also add your agency name. | Name, number and package are needed so I can reply. Agency and message are up to you. |
| You WhatsApp or call me | Your name and number as they show on WhatsApp or your phone, and whatever you tell me in the chat or call. | Only what you choose to share. |
| You become a client | What I need to build your site, like your photo, your story, your listings and the details your footer must show. | Yes, to build the site. We agree on this before we start. |
| You visit this website | Visit data such as the pages you open, roughly where you are, your device and browser, and button taps like "WhatsApp" or "Call". See cookies and analytics. | You can block or clear cookies in your browser. |
Please don't send things I don't need, like your NRIC number or bank details, through the form or in a chat.
The form has a hidden spam trap and a short timer to stop bots. Neither one collects anything extra about you.
Why I use your details
I use your details for these things only:
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To prepare and send you a quote.
- To follow up on that quote, so you don't have to chase me.
- If you become a client, to build your site, look after it, and send invoices.
- To see how this website is doing, using visit numbers that don't name you.
If I ever want to use your details for something new, I'll ask you first.
Who else handles your details
I don't sell or rent your details to anyone. A few service providers help me run this site. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job. Some of them may store data outside Singapore.
Formspree
When you press "Send my details", the form goes to Formspree. Formspree passes your message on to me.
Google Analytics 4
Counts visits and button taps, so I can see what's working. When a site uses Google Analytics, your browser sends Google things like the page address and your IP address.
WhatsApp (Meta)
If you message me on WhatsApp, the chat runs on WhatsApp. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers how it handles your account and messages.
Vercel
Vercel hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers handle each page request, including your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.
jsDelivr
On devices that can show it, the 3D city on the home page loads a code library from the jsDelivr network. Your browser connects to jsDelivr to download it.
Nobody else
The fonts on this site are hosted here, not loaded from Google Fonts. I only share your details with anyone else if the law requires it.
No marketing messages without your OK
Sending me an enquiry does not sign you up for anything. I'll reply about your enquiry and follow up on my quote. I won't send you newsletters, promotions or offers unless you have clearly said yes to that separately.
If you do say yes and later change your mind, just tell me to stop. I will.
How long I keep your details
I keep your details only as long as I need them to reply, send a quote and follow up. After that, I delete them.
- If we don't work together, I delete your enquiry once the conversation is over and there's nothing left to follow up.
- If you become a client, I keep what I need to build and look after your site, and the records I must keep for my accounts. When I no longer need something, I delete it.
- Google Analytics keeps visit data for a set period, then removes it. It's used as totals, not to look you up.
You can ask me to delete your details sooner. See the next section.
See, fix or delete your details
You can ask me at any time to:
- See what I haveI'll tell you what details I hold about you and how I've used them.
- Fix somethingWrong number? Changed agency? Tell me and I'll update it.
- Delete your detailsI'll delete them, unless I must keep a record by law, like an invoice. If so, I'll tell you what and why.
- Stop using your detailsYou can withdraw your consent. I'll stop, and tell you if that means I can't help with something.
Just WhatsApp or call me. I don't charge for these requests. I'll reply as soon as I can, and within 30 days. If it will take longer, I'll tell you when to expect an answer. I may ask a quick question to check it's really you, so I don't hand your details to someone else.
Not happy with how I've handled your request? You can contact Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Please give me a chance to fix it first.
Keeping your details safe
This site uses a secure connection (HTTPS), so your form details are encrypted on the way. I keep enquiries in accounts and on devices that are protected with passwords. Only I can get to them.
No system is perfect. If something ever goes wrong that affects your details, I'll tell you and do what the law requires.
If this notice changes
If I change how I handle your details, I'll update this page and the date at the top. If it's a big change that affects details you've already sent, I'll tell you directly.
